Spectra Lutronic
carbon peel.
The carbon peel (aka the Hollywood Laser Peel) is a popular exfoliating procedure that uses a natural carbon mask to prep the skin for laser treatment. The two-step process combines the beneficial clarifying components of carbon and laser energy to slough off dead skin cells and resurface the outermost layer of skin.

Laser Toning.
The Lutronic Spectra is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that produces two wavelengths to break down pigmented cells so they can be flushed out of the body. The highly concentrated energy is emitted in super-short pulses, minimizing heat damage to the skin while targeting melanocytes (melanin).
For dermal melasma and PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, ex: acne scars)

Typically the side effects are extremely minor and do not last long. Directly following the appointment you will notice some redness and tenderness on the area. You may feel a slight sunburn sensation, but this subsides within a few hours. Pigmented lesions may appear darker at first. As the skin heals the natural exfoliation process takes place and pigmented lesions will become lighter.
Skin purging may also take place. This is where lesions in the lower layers of the skin will work their way up to the top layer, such as acne.
It's important to be patient with your skin as a purge can last a couple weeks. Sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better!
